The design process
DISCOVER
Getting to know you. Alongside reviewing your existing floor plans, I start with a deep dive into who you are - your vision, how you live, and what's genuinely not working right now. Understanding you, your personality, your home, who lives with you, your daily routine, etc help build a conceptual idea that I can then translate into a detailed design brief based on your preferences.
CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
During this phase I will develop and refine the floor layouts to ensure I make the best possible use of your space. Getting this right at the beginning of the project is key to allowing everything else to work. I will then research your brief to produce initial concepts (mood, look and feel, colour) that feels unmistakably right for you. Furniture, joinery, lighting and electrical layouts will be reviewed and confirmed before moving to the next stage.
DESIGN
This is where I finalise your project in line with your feedback from the ‘concept development’ stage, so that it truly reflect’s your vision. This stage is about refinement and I create finalised plans, sample boards and scheme proposals, alongside specifications to give you everything you need to hand over to your chosen trades to bring the design intent to life.
PROCUREMENT
I take the pressure off you and take care of the sourcing and procuring of furniture, fixtures and equipment e.g. furniture, window treatments, upholstery, light fittings, carpets, etc. You will have access to a document of all the proposed products, with detail on quantities, cost and order status. I will place and manage the orders, including production and delivery timelines. I create a trade specification to be shared with your trades, and can brief directly to ensure finishes and products are used and loocated as designed.
“Working with Roxana was such an easy process. She advocated for a layout I’d previously dismissed, and it only blooming works! Amazing at seeing the possibility. We felt bold enough to go for things we’d usually walk straight past."

Frequently asked questions

Ideally I should be brought on board at the very early stages of your project as I may have ideas or adjustments for floor plans and interior architecture that I can discuss with the architect and/or builder.
-
This can vary from project to project and factors such as the size of the space, how many rooms we’re designing, how much you’re looking to change, if you have tradespeople booked in etc, will all play a part. But timings will be indicated in your scope of work.
-
I offer remote services for consultations and one room designs. For bigger projects, I work in person given the more detailed nature required.
-
Ideally, yes, as this will help me guide you to the best package that will work with your investment level. Overall, it’s beneficial for everyone to understand how much you have budgeted for the design fee, furniture, fixtures and fittings so I can ensure I source appropriately. It is also useful to know what you have set aside for trades.
-
It depends on your preference, how busy you are and if you like getting involved in the detail, but I like to work collaboratively - it’s a more fulfilling and enjoyable experience for everyone!
-
I work across Surrey, south west London and the surrounding areas.

Room measurements and photos will be provided by you before our consultation - I will provide guidance on how to do this. For bigger projects, I will also measure the space during our consultation.
-
Absolutely! I love mixing old and new - it’s feels more curated and thoughtful. And it’s environmentally friendly and sustainable. We’ll discuss what you want to keep in the consultation and I will see how it can work into the design.
